Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 5, 2026

This policy explains how Regency Medical Pharmacy handles consumer health data covered by Washington’s My Health My Data Act, RCW 19.373. It does not cover protected health information under HIPAA. That includes the prescription, refill, transfer, delivery and payment information that becomes part of your pharmacy record, including what you submit on our Auto-Refill & Rx Transfer page. Our Notice of Privacy Practices covers that information.

1. Consumer health data we collect and why

We may also use consumer health data to prevent, detect or respond to security incidents, fraud or illegal activity, and to protect our systems, as RCW 19.373.100(3) allows.

2. Where we get it

  • From you, through our website forms, texts, web chat, phone calls and emails.
  • From someone you authorize to act for you, such as a caregiver.
  • Automatically from your browser or device when you use our website.

3. Consumer health data we share

We do not share consumer health data with third parties or affiliates, and we do not sell it.

5. Your rights and how to use them

If you are a Washington consumer, you have the right to:

  • Confirm and access. Ask whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and get a copy. The copy includes a list of every third party and affiliate we have shared or sold it to, with an email address or online way to contact each one.
  • Withdraw consent. Withdraw your consent to our collection and sharing of your consumer health data.
  • Delete. Ask us to delete your consumer health data. We will delete it from all our systems, including archives and backups. We will also tell any service provider that holds it, and any third party or affiliate that received it, to delete it too. Data in backups may take up to six months after we verify your request to delete.

How to make a request. Email [email protected] with “Washington health data request” in the subject line, call us at (805) 375-4050, or write to us at 1000 Newbury Rd, Suite 100, Newbury Park, CA 91320. You do not need to create an account.

Confirming it’s you. We will ask for information we need to confirm your identity, such as your name, date of birth and phone number. If we cannot confirm your identity with reasonable effort, we may not be able to complete your request.

Timing and cost. We respond within 45 days of receiving your request. If we need more time, we will tell you why within those 45 days and may take up to 45 more days. Requests are free up to twice a year.

Appeals. If we deny your request, you can appeal. Reply to our decision, or contact us by any method above and include the word “Appeal.” We will give you our decision and reasons in writing within 45 days. If we deny your appeal, you can file a complaint with the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint.

6. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes here with a new effective date. We will not collect, use or share consumer health data in a new way until we have told you and you have agreed.
